Some 1,300 students attended Low Lounge, and we got the pictures! Take a look back at University Life’s enormously successful school-wide study break. But relaxation didn’t stop there, Alice! Health Promotion hosted free pet therapy session, and the Alumni Association opened up their doors for an informal mingle and snack session with Columbia Alums.

Day of Service, Succulent Study Break, and Election Awareness

A day of service, and a succulent study break—the University Life Events Council hosted several  events for Columbia students. With the 2018 midterms nearing, University Life provided encouragement to get out and vote, courtesy of the Columbia Magazine. This week also featured University Life's signature conversation series "Awakening Our Democracy," which returned for a post-midterm election reflection on the U.S. political landscape.

Solidarity in Gender Equality, and Let's Talk About the Supreme Court

“Snaps For…” showcased HeForShe Columbia, an event that marked Columbia's participation in the UN’s global HeForShe movement. Executive VP Suzanne Goldberg spoke alongside representatives from the UN and Columbia’s STEM departments. You can see photos, videos, and more here! Univeristy Life also organized the first Let's Talk - a student-led discussion on important social issues. Student's were invited to gather and reflect on the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Kavanaugh.
