Upcoming Events
- Covering Democracy: Protests, Police, and the Press (In-Person). Join Knight First Amendment Institute for an advance screening of its documentary short about the more than 100 journalists arrested while covering protests in 2020. A conversation and Q & A will follow the screening. TONIGHT, June 20, 6:00 - 7:30 PM. Register here.
- A History of Graphic Novels: Collection Tour & Movie Screening (In-Person). Enjoy a guided tour of Columbia’s extensive Comics and Graphic Novel Collection. Then, attend a screening of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World in Miller Theater. Ice cream will be served after the film. Friday, June 23, 4:30 - 9:30 PM. Register here.
- Drag Story Hour with Harmonica Sunbeam (In-Person). Join CUIMC's LGBTQ+ ERG for a Drag Story Hour with Harmonica Sunbeam. During this Pride story hour, enjoy singing, dancing and storytelling. Thursday, June 22, 11:45 AM - 1:00 PM. Register here.
- Callen-Lorde Presents: LGBTQ+ Health (Virtual). This workshop will explore health disparities that are seen in the LGBTQ community, the reasons behind these disparities, and strategies to create inclusive and affirming healthcare environments. - Nothing For Us Without Us: The Role of Intersectionality and Positionality in LGBT Health Equity Research (In-Person). - Sex, Gender, and Everything in Between (Virtual). Join early-career researchers for a series of interdisciplinary discussions on sex, gender, and everything in between. Sponsored by the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, the Institute for the Study of Sexuality and Gender, the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Council, and the Office of the Provost. - Vote in the NYC Primary. CU Engage encourages students to vote in the City’s primary election on Tuesday, June 27! Local offices, including City Council members, are on the ballot.
