University Life Events & Opportunities
- Study Days (In-Person). During finals season, Religious Life will open the Earl Hall Auditorium and provide tea, snacks, and a study space. December 12 - 21. Times vary. Learn more.
- Yoga Class (In-Person). Take a break and relax with yoga in Earl Hall, hosted by Religious Life. Please bring your own mat and arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign in and set up. Thursday, December 14, 7:00 - 8:00 PM. Learn more.
- December Concerts at St. Paul’s Chapel (In-Person). Religious Life invites you to attend their December Concert series at St. Paul’s Chapel, featuring Chamber Music from Julliard: Nielsen & Mozart, as well as Weber & Beethoven. TONIGHT, December 12 at 7 PM & Thursday, December 14 at 6 PM. Learn more.
Happening Around Campus
- Situational Awareness Training (Virtual). Public Safety presents a training on Situational Awareness: being aware of where you are and what is happening around you. Learn to be alert to potential threats to your health and safety and be cognizant of emergency exits and other paths to safety. Friday, December 15, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Register here.
- Sound Art at the Fridman Gallery (In-Person). The School of the Arts invites you to explore FROM OUT THERE/TOWARD ME AND THROUGH ME, an exhibition created by students from the Sound Art classes of 2024 and 2025. December 16-17, 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Learn more.
- Music Monday: Every Voices Choir (In-Person). Hear a live performance by the Every Voices Choir. Join The Forum every month for Music Monday, a public monthly concert series. Monday, December 18, 6:00 - 7:00 PM. Register here.
Internship & Research Opportunities
- 2023 Human Rights Research Award. Gain research experience and work with Columbia faculty conducting human rights-related research. Selected applicants will receive a stipend. Learn more and apply by TOMORROW, December 13.
- Internship in Building Community. The School of Professional Studies Pre-College Program invites all Columbia students to apply for its Summer 2024 Internship in Building Community (IBC). IBC interns will work closely with high school students to coordinate community-building events, supervise residence halls, and more. This is a paid opportunity, which may include summer housing on the Morningside campus. Learn more & attend an info session.
