Fort Washington Green Market

November 1, 2022
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
America/New_York
Haven Plaza, Haven Avenue between Fort Washington Avenue and 169th Street

Located at 168th Street and Fort Washington Avenue in Manhattan, this Greenmarket boasts fresh, locally grown offerings including Mexican herbs, peppers, and greens, honey, cheese, juice pressed from ripe orchard fruit, produce grown in the rich soil of Orange County's "Black Dirt" region, pastries and fresh bread. It’s a neighborhood favorite!

Shoppers can also stop by and visit New York Presbyterian’s CHALK program.

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s Fruit and Vegetable Prescription Program (FVRx) provides patients from the ambulatory nutrition department a code that can be redeemed for $20 in Greenmarket Bucks, which can be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at the Fort Washington Greenmarket. Patients can receive additional coupons and market tours from NYP youth market interns.

GrowNYC’s Greenmarkets work to preserve local farmland while ensuring that New Yorkers across all five boroughs have access to fresh, healthy food grown right here in our region. A central component of Greenmarket’s mission and operations is product integrity: everything sold at market is 100% farmer grown, produced, caught, or foraged. In addition to operating farmers markets, Greenmarket is working to improve the health of all New Yorkers with a variety of food access strategies aimed at getting the healthiest, freshest food into the hands of those that need it most.
