Financial Well-being: International Student Workshop

Student Financial Services is partnering with University Life and the International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO) to discuss Financial Wellness for our international students! This presentation provides an introduction to the U.S. Banking System, how to develop a spending plan, and resources and contact information for key offices at Columbia to assist you in building your knowledge and skills of Financial Wellness. U.S. taxes and tax filing will not be discussed in this presentation. Introductory topics presented will include:

  • Financial Literacy & Financial Wellness
  • Financial Institutions & Personal Finances: The Basics
  • The Proactive Approach to Successful Student Spending Plans & Educational Financing
  • Where to Go & Why: Consumer Support Offices, Student Financial Services, and other Key Offices & Contacts
  • Discover iGrad’s Free Tools & Resources to Support the Lifecycle of Budgeting Time
