Jessica Pavone is the Executive Director of Communications for the Office of University Life. Jessica has a wide ranging background in communications and operations over the past 15 years, and has served in leadership roles in the public and private sectors. She is a skilled storyteller and has crafted and managed high impact communication strategies and marketing campaigns over the course of her career.
Jessica has worked in the field of education since 2014. Her past experiences include Chief of Staff for the KIPP Foundation’s Policy and Public Affairs team, the NYC Department of Education, where she led operations for the Universal Pre-K expansion. Prior to that, Jessica worked in urban planning, economic development and disaster resiliency at the American Red Cross and New York City Economic Development Corporation. She holds a Master’s in Urban Policy from NYU’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, and a B.A. in Spanish and History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
A lover of great public spaces, Jessica enjoys summer picnics near Low Library with her family, and looks forward to exploring Columbia’s campuses.
