First-Generation Experience: A Roundtable with Columbia Faculty

Join us for the first event in the Diversity, Dialogue and Dinner series. This event will feature a panel of faculty members sharing their experience navigating higher education as the first in their family to attend graduate school.

This event is part of the Graduate Initiative for Inclusion and Engagement within the Office of University Life and is co-sponsored by the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Diversity and Inclusion.

Hilda Y. Hutcherson, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Columbia University Medical Center; Senior Associate Dean for Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, College of Physicians and Surgeons

Dennis A. Mitchell, Vice Provost for Faculty Diversity and Inclusion; Professor of Dental Medicine (Community Health and Periodontics) at the Columbia University Medical Center; Senior Associate Dean for Diversity, College of Dental Medicine
