Expressing concern and sharing resources during CA fires

Monday, November 12, 2018

Dear Columbia Students from California:

The Columbia community shares concern for those of you with family and friends who may be impacted by the wildfires in California. Our thoughts are with you, affected residents and all first responders facing emergency conditions in several counties. We recognize how difficult this may be amid upcoming holidays and want to remind you that in addition to your school’s dean of students, these university-wide resources are available to offer support and assistance:

Morningside Campus: Counseling and Psychological Services - 212-854-2878

Medical Center Campus: Mental Health Services - 212-305-3400

The Office of the University Chaplain offers faith-based support and spiritual counseling - 212-854-1493

Please don't hesitate to contact your dean of students, any of the above resources, or the Office of University Life (universitylife@columbia.edu).

Sincerely,
